I decided to spend a particular summer holiday the way I spent most of them – with a fat boy I know … a fat boy who’s been my best friend forever. The summer day unfolded much like it does in these parts – an early and bright mild chill, which rapidly melts into an oppressively sultry hot day. In short, we’re talkin’ the sort of days that make everyone want to get wet. It felt like a day for the beach. I wanted to cool my fat boy friend, who really felt the steam and the oppressiveness of the heat, sitting beside me on the sofa, in my 9th floor apartment which has no air-conditioning. (more…)
